Active schools week

The children had a great time today taking part in a mini Euro's tournament. A big thank you to Muinteoir Fionnan and Ciaran for organising it for us!

Maths groups

The children love having maths groups on a Wednesday morning. They are learning so much!

The children made beautiful spring paintings today, they really brighten up our classroom! 

Food tasting

Today we tasted food from different countries all around the world. Everything was delicious! A huge thank you to all the parents who went to the time and effort of making such wonderful food, I really appreciated it! 

International festival

Today was the start of our very own International Festival. The children went to the hall today to see all the different projects the classes had made. Our hall looked amazing today! 

Project work

The boys and girls are busy preparing projects for our International Festival. This week we learned all about Russia and even got to taste some Russian food and hear a Russian story. Thanks to all the parents who brought stuff in for our project! 

Communion

International festival!

Our school is having an international festival from the 10th to the 12th of February. To kick things off we started today by looking at art from around the world. We made fantastic totem poles out of coloured paper.  Totem poles were used by the Native Americans for protection and to tell stories many years ago. Have a look at our creations! 

Back to work!

We've had a busy week this week. Soldiers visited our school Monday which was very exciting. We were busy learning about length in maths and measured a lot of things around our classroom. We also did some science experiments about floating and sinking. Very busy indeed!
